Renewable energy is one of my core passions, driving both my academic pursuits and career ambitions. Through classes and internships, I've been able to hone my skills in energy modeling and optimization, focusing on innovative solutions to some of the world's growing challenges in sustainability

Solar Bifacial Modeling Script

June 2024 - Present

In collaboration with one of my coworkers at Kimley-Horn, I am actively working on a Python script to granularly predict solar generation.

Solar Structures Internship

May 2024 - August 2024

For the summer of 2024, I worked at Kimley-Horn on the solar structures team. Through this, I gained valuable experience in designing PV foundations and collaborating across disciplines to design renewable energy sites.

A City and its River Research Team

August 2022 - May 2023

I was part of the Bernhardt Lab at Duke University, where we studied contamination in Durham's Ellerbe Creek and the subsequent effects on marine life.

Consul for Duquesne Light Company

August 2022 - December 2022

This Duke Energy Club project team worked to provide consul to Duquesne Light Company on what to do with their legacy ash sites and coal mines.

Community-Based Social Marketing Proposal Against Duke Energy

October 2021 - December 2021

As part of my environmental policy class, I developed a community-based social marketing proposal to restructure the energy market in North and South Carolina.

Algae Window

September 2021 - December 2021

Drawing inspiration from the B.I.Q. house in Hamburg, our Duke Conservation Technology team designed a window that would control the amount of penetrating light by changing algae concentration.

Envirothon Oral Scenario

May 2021 - July 2021

As part of the 2021 NCF Envirothon Competition, we were given a scenario on nitrate contamination in the Ogalla Aquifer and tasked with developing a remidiation plan. As the South Carolina captain, I helped our team to a 3rd place finish.
